Rubber safety flooring is the impact-absorbing surface that reduces fall injuries in play areas; its thickness is selected from the equipment’s drop height — the greater the height, the thicker the layer. This section covers two distinct needs: the surfacing required when building a new play area, and the spare parts that extend the life of existing ones.

Rubber surfacing is the impact-absorbing layer that reduces fall injuries. There are two application types: square rubber tiles lay quickly and let damaged pieces be replaced individually; poured rubber granulate gives a seamless continuous surface and allows coloured patterns. The required thickness follows the drop height of the equipment installed above it.

On the spares side we supply slide bodies, swing seats and chains, handgrips, panels and fixings. Renewing a worn part instead of replacing a whole set cuts both cost and the time the area stays closed.

How is rubber thickness determined?
The deciding factor is the drop height of the equipment above. Greater height requires thicker surfacing, so the flooring decision must be made alongside the equipment decision, not after it. Send us the drop height and the area in m² and we will determine the right thickness.
Should I choose tiles or poured surfacing?
Tiles install faster and are easier to maintain because damaged pieces can be swapped individually. Poured surfacing gives a seamless finish and allows coloured patterns, but is not as simple to repair. Heavily used public areas tend to favour tiles; design-led projects favour poured.
Do you supply spares for another brand’s equipment?

Can rubber be laid over an existing surface?
It depends on the substrate. A level, well-draining base such as concrete or compacted aggregate is required. Share a photo of the existing surface and we can assess it.
