Residential Garden Playground Sets

The Eco Series covers playground sets designed for projects tight on both space and budget. It holds 11 models, all built on the same logic: gather the usual play functions onto a smaller layout. Slides, stairs, climbing panels and platforms remain; what shrinks is the space the unit demands around itself. Load-bearing metalwork is electrostatically powder-coated and timber surfaces are protected with water-based paint.

The series is used most in apartment and residential gardens, nursery and kindergarten yards, small neighbourhood parks and hotel children's corners. These sites share one problem: a garden that looks big enough on paper turns out not to be once the safety area is calculated. The Eco Series fills that gap — it is the third option between abandoning a playground set altogether and buying one that will not fit.

Dimensions across the series run as follows: drop heights of 100–200 cm, peak heights of 360–470 cm, and footprints between 450 × 400 cm and 845 × 670 cm. Safety areas extend from 820 × 650 cm up to 1245 × 1070 cm — roughly 53 m² to 133 m². Knowing from the outset that even the smallest model asks for 53 m² of clear space saves time at the survey stage.

Plan the layout around the safety area. EKS 10, for instance, has a footprint of 600 × 430 cm — about 26 m² on the ground — against a safety area of 820 × 650 cm, some 53 m². In other words the unit asks for roughly twice the space it occupies. Nothing may stand inside that zone: no car park kerb, tree, column, bench or wall. In residential gardens the unit is usually pushed too close to a building façade or a parking boundary, and this clearance is the first thing to be lost.

Drop heights range from 100 cm to 200 cm and directly determine the impact-absorbing surfacing required beneath. The difference in surfacing between a 100 cm model and a 200 cm one is not a trivial budget line, which is why choosing equipment first and leaving flooring for later is the most common source of cost surprises. The surfacing must cover the entire safety area, not just the ground under the structure. Production follows the scope of TS EN 1176.

On age suitability the series is flexible: models with a 100 cm drop height suit ages 3–6, while the 200 cm models also serve children over six. Nursery gardens tend to take the lower end of the range, mixed-age residential gardens the upper end. In a nursery yard, sightlines matter too — supervising adults need to see the children, so models with fewer enclosed tunnels and tall panels are usually preferred.

Installation requires a concrete foundation and anchoring. Maintenance holds no particular difficulty: a weekly visual check, monthly tightness checks on bolts and anchors, and a seasonal review of paint integrity and surfacing joints are enough.
